Linocut printmaking

75 US dollars
507 East Shiawassee Street

Service Description

Have you ever wanted to try your hand at relief printmaking, or want a more challenging class than our stamp carving course? Now is your chance! We will start the class with demonstrations in developing an image, simple image transfer, carving your image onto a lino block and then printing our blocks on the printing press (lovingly named Eve Polastri). Students will have the opportunity to make a 4”x6” linoleum block with their own design (or choose from several templates we have) after a demonstration by our resident print teachers. In addition to 3 hours of class instruction and guided printing, students will also have an additional two hours after class time to make as many prints as they like. All materials for class are included. Class fee is $75, with the option to purchase your carving tools, extra lino, ink and paper if you want to continue your print journey at home.

Cancellation Policy

If you must cancel your reservation, please do so as soon as possible. Unfortunately, we are unable to issue refunds or move students to a different class time for scheduling conflicts . The number of people asking to move their reservations is simply too high that the school can not afford to accommodate this and still keep class fees affordable. We do occasionally have a waitlist for classes, if someone is able to take your place you can be refunded or moved to a different class. Feel free to ask but again this is not guaranteed. Alternatively if you can not make it to your scheduled class you can always find someone you know to take your place. If you would like to cancel your reservation, please email tinybitofwood@gmail.com with the subject line “Cancellation”. Thank you for understanding, Megan Shannon
