  • 507 East Shiawassee Street

Service Description

Come learn how to make an outdoor bench, help me make one and support a local non-profit all at the same time. Community building, learning and supporting each other. The Haven House reach out and asked me to make this outdoor bench as a donation for their shelter. The Haven house is a local non-profit that supports and provides temporary housing for families facing the challenge of homelessness. Most of us are lucky enough to not have to worry about not having a home but for those members of our community that do I’m glad they have the Haven House to support them If you have fallowed along with Tiny bit of Wood you know I would love to spend all my time making things for donation but financially I can’t always do this or make things a nice as I want to. Your class fee will help cover cost to make the Haven house a beautiful cedar bench that will last a long time and be a place for folks to rest their bones. In this class we will learn how I designed the layout and cut list, cut out all the pieces needed, sand, stain and learn how to assemble this. You will learn everything you need to go home and make one for yourself, this a build you do not need many tools to do. Thank you for your consideration and singing up for this Tiny Bit of Good.
