Service Description

Whether you are a returning student or brand new this a more in depth and lengthy class that will give you practice with many fundamentals of woodworking. Different types of joinery and when to use them, how to glue up a flat tabletop, lumber selection, and how to safely use many power tools. This is 3-day course will be 4 hours each day over two weekends and you will take home a coffee table you built. One day one we will pick out our design and learn how to make a build diagram, create a cut and material list. This is a how almost every build out there starts and will help you to create more in the future. Then we will rough cut out all of the parts we need. I will have 3 designs for you to work with that you can adapt to fit your own ideas or space. On day 2 we will get all the parts fitted for their final dimensions, do a dry, fit and then glue up and assemble our tables. On the last day we will complete and assembly and do the final sanding. And the best part of any build applying a natural finish to protect and make your hard work last for years and years. You will not be making any flimsy particle board coffee table because I will have hardwoods such as Walnut, Cherry and Maple for you to pick from. To add to the awesomeness of this build all woods where sustainably harvest and milled right here at the school. The designs provided will have wood legs but if you want to bring your own metal legs to class, I will show you how to properly attach furniture legs. I know this class is pricey so if you want a cost break down of what your class fee is going towards, I will happily provide it!

Cancelation Policy

Class sizes are limited! If you must cancel your reservation, please do so as soon as possible to allow for someone else to take your place! The following Cancellation Policy applies when participants are not canceling their attendance due to a COVID-19 related issue. If you have registered for a Tiny Bit of School workshop and you are no longer able to attend, our cancellation policy is as follows: -A full refund is available up to 7 days before your scheduled workshop date. -A 50% refund is available for cancellations submitted 1-6 days before the scheduled workshop date. -No refund will be issued for same-day cancellations. An exception will be made for an unexpected illness, and a refund of 50% or a credit to attend an upcoming workshop can be issued.
